Logan Redondo
Logan started swimming when he was five years old at the Mission Viejo Nadadores and he hasn’t stopped since.
Over the course of his swimming career, he has spent almost 14 years with the Nadadores, the majority of those years training under the legendary Coach Bill Rose. Logan was able to represent the Nadadores at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Trials, finishing 18th in the 1500m freestyle at the 2016 Olympic Trials. Logan also swam for four years at the University of Minnesota, under Head Coach Kelly Kremer and represented Minnesota at the Big Ten and NCAA championships. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology.
Upon returning from college, Logan began working in swimming as a learn-to-swim and competitive swim instructor, and soon after returned to the pool deck as a coach for the Mission Viejo Nadadores. He spent two years working with both age group and senior level swimmers and was mentored by some of the best coaches in the swimming world. While working as Coach Mark Schubert’s assistant coach, Logan helped coach and develop a junior national champion, national age group record-breakers, and Olympic Trials qualifiers. Logan has spent this past year working as the Dryland coordinator and Senior Coach for Santa Clara Swim Club continuing to help develop athletes to Olympic Trials, Junior Nationals, and Futures.
“I am so excited to be back at the Mission Viejo Nadadores and to work with such a talented group of swimmers and coaches. I love being around the pool, and swimming is a great passion of mine. My primary goals as a coach is to help athletes find joy in the water, continue to grow in the sport long-term, and challenge athletes to constantly pursue excellence both in and out of the pool".
